Stitching with Friends

Hi friends

On Saturday my two favourite stitching buddies, Kath and Clare, came to spend the afternoon with me. We haven't had a stitching get together for a long time so it was a real pleasure to chat and stitch the time away. I think I talked more then stitched, lol.

This was the lovely afternoon tea Kath made for us, a lemon loaf, oh my it was delicious. Kath tells me the recipe is from the latest Food magazine.

Clare brought along her new stitching lamp to show us.

This is Clare's lovely My Heartstring Samplery project - almost there now Clare :)

Kath was busy with some stitchery work for an exchange she has coming up:

I started a new project, any guesses as to what it might be?

I'll reveal all in my next post!

What a fun and happy time we had :)

See you soon x

It sounds like you had a lovely stitching afternoon, Katrina.

Your new start looks like a Blackbird Designs piece. Am I right?

Looks like you had a lovely time. Look forward to seeing your new start which looks like a BBD to me.

Yum strawberries. I wish I had stitching friends close enough to share time with....especially if it means strawberries loo

Isn't it great to stitch in company? And with a very yummy-looking cake to boot, it just couldn't be better. All of your stitching is lovely - I recognized your new project straightaway, having stitched it myself earlier this year :-) I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

I saw your pictures on Facebook; what a great way to spend the day - stitching and visiting with friends!

I think perhaps you are starting Christmas Garden from Blackbird Designs?

Kia Ora! I am an ex-pat Kiwi who is living in Canada now. I have dreams of retiring in NZ.

I love meeting up with good friends for stitch'N'bitch sessions. I have a good group of friends here who try to meet up every Sunday for a few hours. Nobody ever brings cake, though, so you're one up on us!
