A New Start

Hi friends

Well, if you guessed Christmas Garden by Blackbird Designs you were totally right!  I had ordered some fabric and the threads recently,  and they arrived Saturday morning in the post so I decided to make a start when Kath and Clare were here.

The fabric I went with is Lakeside Linen 40 count Vintage Light Examplar, using the recommended threads.

It might take me awhile, being on 40 count, but I'm so excited to have finally started. I've nearly finished with all my gift and ornament stitching so this will be my main stitching piece over the next few weeks and during my holiday break.

Have a happy day xx

I was right about the designer! I didn't take a guess on the design though, because I haven't been keeping up with their latest designs. I love the colors you have chosen, Katrina - nice start!

Oh, I love this one! When it was first released, Shakespeare's Peddler offered a silk floss conversion so I ordered it along with the chart and fabric. I probably won't get to it until next year though. One of the ladies in my group tonight was just nearing her happy dance on this one.
I can't wait to watch your progress!
