The Tale of Two Bunnies

These two bunnies have certainly been a long work in progress!  I actually had them both cut out and ready to make for Christmas 2014 but didn't quite get there.

This year I made sure I started working on the the sewing together during our winter leaving plenty of time for the clothes making.

So please meet Miss Pippa and Miss Harriet, as named by Miss Hannah, and these are for my two small nieces Alice and Sally for Christmas.

They are a lot of fun to make and I have a kit for Miss Juniper Kitty to make up sometime next year for Hannah.

This Week's Projects

Hello there

This little design has been my stitching project this week, this is going to be Hannah's 2015 Christmas ornament.

I've made up several of these gingerbread men to go into the pressie box.

I've been slowly making some progress on two Miss Maggie Rabbits, these were actually cut out intended to be made for my two little nieces last year for Christmas, but they will now be done in plenty of time for this year!

I still have the noses to stitch and make her clothes, then knit the caplets. The little boots have been made, just some thread laces to go in now.

Thank you for the kind words on my previous posts!

End of the Week Finish

Yay, it's finally Friday and that means a long weekend coming up, there's a public holiday on Monday for us.  We've got very little planned, except for a afternoon at the movies and I'm going to see a craft exhibition with a friend on Monday.

As I said the other day, it's been a tad chilly here this week, this morning it was -3 c when I stopped by the post office to collect the mail on my way to work  but the at least the sun is out and it warms up ever so slightly, lol.

My latest finish is this sampler by Posie Gets Cozy, which I started at the end of April, during our last long weekend.

My Sweetiepie ABC Sampler by Alicia Paulson, Posie Gets Cozy
stitched on 36ct linen
with recommended DMC threads

I'm not sure how I'll finish this one so for now into the finished projects drawer it goes.

See you soon x

On the Go

As well as several little ornaments, which I'll share pics of once they have been made up, I've been working on several different projects over the past few weeks.

I couldn't resist this ABCs sampler by Alicia Paulson, I love all her designs and how you can purchase kits or PDF patterns.  Not shown here but I also have two Miss Maggie Rabbits in production for my two small nieces.

This little Gail Pan stitchery was a left over project from before Christmas last year.

I decided to pull out this Block of the Month from Cinderberry Stitches, Tail Feathers, this has been a very long work in progress over the past few years!  I'm now up to Block 3.

I've also crocheted a few more circles for the Flowers in Snow blanket. It feels good to have a variety of crafty projects on the go!

Have a lovely weekend x

Violet Sampler & some new patterns

I have been stitching on this lovely sampler lately and it's now almost finished. Many thanks to my friends Kath and Clare, who both helped out matching up some needed threads - it's amazing the differences in dye lots of Weeks Dye Works threads.

So some recent progress pics to share :)

It's been awhile since I bought any stitching stash and these lovely patterns arrived recently.

I couldn't resist either when I spotted that Alicia from Posie Gets Cozy had some new felt animal kits available - Miss Juniper Kitty will be a friend to Miss Maggie Rabbit.

These should be keep me busy for awhile!  I also spent a little bit of time over the weekend kitting up some Christmas ornaments to work on once the Violet Sampler is finished and a few other small projects.
