On Friday it was my birthday, goodness that came around way too fast this year. I had a wonderful day and got very spoilt with some great pressies from my family and friends. Glenn and Hannah gave me a lovely heart charm for my Pandora bracelet and a voucher to have a facial, and I also got some money from my parents and in-laws to go shopping!
Kath totally spoilt me with some lovely treats - Blackbird Designs Joyeux Noel (which I'd been wishing for ever since it came out. I think I'd like to stitch every single design in this book, its just gorgeous); a pair of fingerless gloves in my favourite colour;
and a pin cushion by Blackbird Designs, another project that's been on my wish list.
We celebrated my birthday by having a dinner at home on Friday night - it was a perfect day, I even had some quality stitching time, what more could a girl ask for.
Since I'm waiting on a thread order to come from my LNS, My Quaker Lady has been put on hold for the present time. Here's my progress so far:
Its been a gorgeous autumn day here today. This time of the year is my favourite - the days may start off a little bit chilly but we are left with a stunning day, not a cloud in the sky and the sun still has a bit of warmth in it. Our Daylight Savings hours changed over last Sunday so its started getting darker earlier in the evenings but I don't mind as I always think that the evenings seem longer, more time for stitching :)
Have a great week!
