Evergreen is Done!

Thanks to Anne helping me out by sending over some extra threads from Oz, I was able to complete Evergreen this week.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

Evergreen - Blackbird Designs, stitched on 28ct Candlelight cashel by Silkweavers using Weeks and Gast threads.

Because I chose to stitch this on 28ct I ran out of the brown threads, Havana and Palomino, with over 1/3 of the design to go, you might just have enough using 32ct fabric.

As you will see in my sidebar I've started a new project this week, Just Nan's Beach Roses, which has been in my stitching basket for months :) After finishing Mermaid Heart recently it made me remember how much I enjoy stitching Just Nan's designs, although I haven't really stitched many of them.

Kath and her DH Kevin will be here soon, they are going to be spending the weekend with Glenn and I, and then will head home on Monday. Kath and I are going to visit a few of the local quilting shops so I'm hoping to pick up some fabric to go with some of my 2007 finishes. I can imagine all the chatting and stitching going on, while the guys talk about "building" all weekend, lol.

Thanks too for the nice comments left about Apples :)

See you soon!

Very nice!! I might have to stitch that one again, for me this time :)

Enjoy your weekend with Kath - I bet you two do more shopping and chatting than stitching LOL (not to mention, the hint of green from jealously on my face ;))

Woohoo, you finished that quickly!! Funnily enough, I've been eyeing up both the JN designs lately too - both Mermaid and Beach Roses for a quick stitch ... I thought of Beach Roses for my next 'free choice' rotation slot :) Can't wait to see yours all stitched :D

Evergreen turned out lovely, I really like the material you chose to stitch it on. Beach roses will be very pretty. I'm doing a Just Nan, "Creativity", as a round robin right now and have done others before. I agree with you on the JN's, they are fun to do.

Wonderful finish, congrats. I had missed the other two posts so also wanted to say congrats on the Apples and City Stitcher,Country Stitcher. I agree the Apples was so much prettier than the picture on the kit. All of these fruits have been that way. I have a friend stitching them for our shop models and they have all been a surprise at how pretty the colors are. Happy Shopping and Stitching, CJ

Congrats on the finish! I was just looking at this one the other night and thinking about stitching it.

Our tastes in designers is so similar. The only difference is that you get yours stitched! LOL!
