Warning: Lots of Pics Coming Up!!

Hello everyone, I hope you've all been having a good few days :) Before I tell you about the recent exhibition I was involved in over the weekend, which went fantastically well, I thought I'd post some pics of my current WIP's. First up, is Lizzie Kate's Baby Sampler. This is for my cousin Angela's new baby, Jack, born on the 22nd March. I thought this would look good finished as a flat fold. I've done a bit more on this since the pic was taken so only have the Jack's birthdate and name to add now.

I made a start on my next Drawn Thread, 12 Houses , last Thursday too but only a small one so don't have a pic to share as of yet.

I have received some lovely stash in the mail over the past week, from a trade with Danielle - Just Nan's Beach Roses with the embellishments. Thanks Danielle, I can't wait to start this one :) From Anne in a trade, what do you know, a M Designs needleroll, thanks Anne, your chart is now on its way. I also received a lovely box of goodies from my Seasonal exchange partner, Kelly from the US. Wow!! My eyes totally popped when I opened up the box and spotted all the lovely things Kelly had put together for me, including the Stitching Leporello kit (which is all packaged up so beautifully it almost seems a shame to open it and start using the threads!!) Kelly also sent me Drawn Thread's An Open Heart which I love and want to make a start on straight away, lol :) I always felt totally spoiled by Kelly, especially as she always sends lots of other lovely treats including wonderful tasting coffee and chocolates too. A big thank you once again Kelly.

Crazy Stitcher's Annual Cross Stitch Exhibtion

Now its time to share a few photos from the exhibition. Our exhibition is held each year as a fundraiser for the community service I work for, and is actually held at my place of work. It took us two days to get all the displays set up, its a big job to get it all looking just right, and we opened to the public on Friday morning. Throughout the weekend we had many people through, including many people from out of town. Our raffles sold extremely well, and so did the fabric we had for the weekend from Countrystitch - my purse was considering lighter Sunday afternoon but I just couldn't resist the temptation, and neither could several of my stitching buddies who shall remain nameless, but they know who they are!! I have yet to add up the final tally for the weekend but we managed to raise a considerable amount. Its such a fantastic event to be involved in, and what a good way to spend a weekend, hanging out with stitching friends and talking cross stitch non stop, lol. What a success it was this year - I'll let the photos speak for themselves:

You are off to a great start with your stitching. I'm finally back on track with my DT Game Board Sampler, but I'd like to get another "spot" going soon!

Take care!
