Spot of Summer HD

Last night I put the final stitches into Spot of Summer by the Drawn Thread, a SAL I've been doing for the past few Thursdays with Cathy. Von has decided to join in with us too, and is also been working on the Summer Spot. Because a friend had given me the chart when she had stitched it ages ago, I had to rummage around in my charms and button box to find something else and came across the little sun charm.

Stitched on 36ct Edinborough light sand linen with DMCs and Weeks threads.

I've made a start on the next "spot" on my list, Welcome Spot, but don't have much progress to share so will leave a pic of it until next week.

Later this afternoon I'm off to my parents house to help Mum out with my niece Zoe's birthday party. She turns 5 on the 7th March and originally her party was going to be this Sunday but Zoe has been invited to another birthday party on Sunday morning. She's got 7 other little girls, and one boy - her best friend, coming so we should have lots of fun with all the games Mum has organised. I've just got to try and remember to take my camera :)

Other plans for the weekend: tomorrow I'll be out all day as my organisation is having an information display at a local health and disability expo, then Saturday night we're going to my uncle's surprise 60th birthday party. A friend has asked me to go to see North Country at the movies Sunday night and I'll try and fit some stitching in there somewhere :)

Enjoy your weekend!

Hey!!! How cool - I just noticed that you used "KLJ" on this one - so sweet! I am so used to your "KLR" initials on your projects! Now I really realize you are married! It is always so fun to me to come across my projects that were signed CAB, before I became CAS - just had to tell you how fun it was to notice that!!
