Rainbow Baby Blanket

I'm so happy with how this little baby blanket turned out, how can you not be, with all the colours in the rainbow in it! It will soon posted away with a few other gifts to my dear friend in the UK for her new arrival, a sweet little baby boy, born at the end of February.

For the colour inspiration I followed the suggestions from the Patchwork Heart Blog, a wonderful source of all things crochet.

I used 15 shades of the lovely Stylecraft DK yarn, with Parchment as the neutral colour in between rows, with a 3.5mm hook. There is plenty of yarn left over so it would easily make another blanket or two, I just need to stock up on some more parchment.

I've already decided on my next crochet blanket -Lucy from Attic 24's Morland Blanket, which I hope to get underway very soon.

See you soon x

I too have been looking at Lucy's Moorland blanket. Still undecided on that one.

I have been eyeing Lucy's Moorland CAL...beautiful shades. I use all Stylecraft Special Dk since my first Granny Stripe Blanket following Lucy. I'm knitting a blanket presently using it. I just love Patchwork Heart too and your blanket is so sweet. I'm sure it is destined to be very loved.

So timely! I've been thinking about gym competitions and needing to think of a smallish simple knitting/crochet project that I can take along with me - this is perfect!
