Favourite Reads Lately

Time for another book post today since my last few posts have been all about Christmas ornaments!

Even though it's been a busy few weeks, it seems I've managed to get a few books read so here's my list for October/ November and the first week or so of this month:

1. Close Your Eyes by Michael Robotham

#8 in the Joseph O'Loughlin series, I couldn't wait to get into this one. This series, and other books by Michael Robotham have definitely been some of favourite reads this year.

2. The Gilded Hour by Sara Donati

It's been several years since I've read any Sara Donati books but I think I may just had to re read some of the earlier ones from the Wilderness series. This story is about two cousins, Anna and Sophie, and is set in 1883 in New York. Anna and Sophie are both graduates of the Women's Medical School. At over 700 pages long I was expecting this book to take me ages to read but once I got into the story, I couldn't put it down.

3. Pretty Girls by Karin Slaughter

This crime thriller had me sucked in straight away and is filled with lots of twists and turns.

4. Make Me - Lee Childs

#20 in the Jack Reacher series,  I'm a big fan of Jack Reacher and his adventures and this was a good one.

5. After You - Jojo Moyes

The long awaited sequel to Me Before You, which was one of my favourite reads back in 2014.

6. A Tattooed Heart by Deborah Challinor

#4 and the last book in the Convict Girl series. Fantastic ending to the series, I couldn't put this one down.

My summer holidays start this time in two weeks and I already have a pile of books set aside for the break.  I'm going to have a "read from my bookcase" few months and try to get through some of books I picked up earlier in the year from the local charity book sale. That's of course if I don't get tempted by any new books I spot at the library!

I am the same way, dozens of books on my shelves and hundreds on my nook, and yet I go to the library to find something to read.

I love your book suggestions! Because of you, I read 3 books by Lianne Moriarty. I currently have one Karin Slaughter book on hold at the library. Anyways ~ thank you for sharing!
