Birthday Celebrations

On the 7th, Hannah turned 7, still can't believe she's now 7!  On her actual birthday we had a lovely dinner out at a local restaurant, and then chocolate sponge cake for dessert.

A special surprise had been organised for the weekend after Hannah's birthday - we were heading to Wellington for the weekend and taking Hannah to her first Hurricane's rugby game.

The weather, although a bit cool, was lovely and sunny the whole time, meaning we could do lots of walking around, and finding parks to play at!

We did spend a bit of time at Te Papa and had planned to check out the new exhibition, Gallipoli, the Scale of our War, but the huge queues put us off, another time definitely as its on for a few years.

After several hours of walking around the waterfront and some shopping it was time for a stop at Starbucks, coffee for us and a fluffy for Hannah.

Then it was time to get ready for the rubgy, which we all thoroughly enjoyed and even better our team won :)

Sunday was a lovely day so we took a little drive to one of Hannah's favourite parks in Island Bay, I could have sat and watched this view all day.

Sunday was Mother's Day here so I got treated out to brunch and also, got to pick out a present, you'll laugh at this, I've been wanting a new electric frying pan for ages so that's what I chose, lol.

So in all an excellent few days away, just what we needed.

See you soonx
