Last Few Days

These summer holidays have just been wonderful. I decided to add an extra week to the usual break I have over Christmas and into January. Since DH went back to work after his break, Hannah and I have spent the time doing all sorts of things - lots of swimming, days out and about,  hanging out with friends, participating in the local library school holiday programme - we went to see an incredibly funny and clever magician the other day, gardening and of course, I've had plenty of time for stitching and reading.

We have a busy few weeks coming up - this week we have family visiting from Australia and we're hosting a 50th birthday barbeque for my uncle, a family reunion of sorts. Then on the first Saturday of February one of my young cousins is getting married, Hannah and Zoe are both in the bridal party.  We are all looking forward to this special day for Vanessa and Daniel. A couple of weekends ago I held a bridal kitchen tea for Vanessa and what a lovely time we all had.

So a few snaps from the past week or so:

the last few charts in the Sheep Virtues series and a SB kit.

The girls with my cousin Vanessa, she is going to be a beautiful bride

We went to see Frozen, what a great movie, and the girls loved the music too

Kath, Clare and I spent a stitchey  afternoon together, we hadn't meet up for ages but this year we've made definate plans for a monthly get together :)

Lots of outside jobs have been finished off

Lettuces growing like mad in the garden, still waiting on our first red tomato

Lots of fun at a local park with a splash pad - brilliant on a hot day

So today is the last day of my annual leave and it's back to work for me tomorrow. Hannah has another two weeks before school starts back so she'll be heading off each morning to spend the day at my aunty's with her daycare friends.

Great photos Katrina. The girls are going to make beautiful junior bridesmaids. Will look forward to seeing the photos. Good to see you have received sheep virtue joyfulness, that means I should be receiving a phone call from the embroidery shop to say mine has arrived. It will be hard going back to work tomorrow, hope all goes well.

Extended vacation--terrific! Looks like every minutes was filled --work will probably be a respite! But all worth it, I am sure! Thanks for sharing! Hugs!
