A little bit of knitting

Back sometime in May I cast on this simple baby blanket and it's growing ever so slowly!  This is going to be a gift for one of my family members having a baby in August.  It's very good tv watching knitting, lol.

The wool I'm using is by The Wool Company, so lovely and soft, and I'm knitting it on one of my Knit Pro Spectra circulars, which I love using.

The pattern can be found here

I also recently finished this little baby hat, the pattern was in the knitting feature in Better Homes and Garden July 2013 magazine.

A friend recently gave me a voucher for our local knitting shop so I picked out some wool and also got a couple of sets of double pointed needles.

I came across the Love Fibres Etsy shop via Pinterest and I love it how you can make your purchase and the pattern appears straight away in your inbox.

One of my close friends in the UK has just found out she's having a little girl just before Christmas so I'm planning to send her lots of warm woolie knits for the baby. I'd better get a move on!

So pretty! That blanket pattern looks so similar to a baby (well, 18 month old) dress I am currently knitting - http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/muti-dress (I am doing mine in white with soft yellow trim and waist)

Your friend will be very lucky to get those presents for her little girl :) That yarn is gorgeous!
