Well, I've made it through the first week back at work after the holidays - I'm very pleased the weekend it almost here.
There's been quite a change in the weather here - we've gone from having consistent 30 degrees C plus temperatures to only 19c today, cloudy and rain showers, and overnight there's been a coating of snow to the ranges south of here! Just crazy for the middle of summer!
Anyways, here's my first stitching finish of 2013. You might recognise this as a work in progress from last year. Now it's finally finished I'm going to attach it to the stitcher's wallet you can see also in this photo.

Last weekend we celebrated my lovely Dad's birthday with a family barbeque, and although he's not a big dessert fan, I decided to go with a cream sponge filled with jam, cream and topped with strawberries and flaked chocolate for our pudding.
Hannah and Zoe especially enjoyed their dessert - Hannah had two pieces!
Have a fun filled weekend - Mum and I are hoping to finally get along to the local movie theatre to see The Hobbit at some stage, can't wait to see it.
Bye for now!
