Rotorua Holiday - Part 2

Hi friends,
I'm back again with the second part of our holiday snaps.

Hannah's request on holiday was that she wanted to see some mud pools, and go to the park, hee hee, so we decided to have a look at one of the thermal attractions that neither Glenn or I have been to before, Te Puia, a cultural centre and geothermal valley, situated on the outskirts of Rotorua.

There was lots of steam, bubbling mud pools, gushing streams and active geysers, including Pohutu Geyser, meaning big splash or explosion, and which is the largest active geyser in New Zealand.

Hannah and DH both about to say what a stink!

Pohutu Geyser, getting ready to erupt

Te Puia Marae, or meeting house

Then it was onto one of the many parks we spent time at in Rotorua - Hannah had a ball.

We finished our holiday by going out to dinner at one of our favourite restaurants, Lone Star, which was absolutely delicious!

So now I guess you're wondering if I found any stitching or sewing shops on our travels, and maybe bought some new stash? Of course I did!  Photos to come :)

See you soon x

The first few photos look like the landscape from the set of a futuristic movie :-)

Welcome back! So glad to hear you all had a nice, relaxing holiday! I enjoyed looking through your photos, there certainly is a lot to see and do in Rotorua... but playgrounds are definitely the #1 attraction whenever we go anywhere, too :o)
