Holiday Week -Part 1

Hi everyone, well, here I am, back into the swing of things, after my very enjoyable holiday week.
It went by in a blink! We had a couple of days at home before heading away to Rotorua for a few days, which is about a 3 1/2 hour drive from here. Rotorua is the thermal wonderland of New Zealand, with lots of great places and activities to see and do.

We had a wonderful, relaxing time and although the weather was a bit unpredictable some days, we were still able to get out and about with Hannah, checking out lots of the local attractions, and lots of playgrounds, lol.

I've got loads of photos to share so I'll break these into two posts over the next few days.

The first stop on our list of sightseeing activities was Rainbow Springs. This has recently undergone a major redevelopment, $10 million dollars worth,  and is looking wonderful. The morning we stopped by it was drizzly rain so we were a bit limited in what we could do but still had lots of fun at this gorgeous spot, amongst the native trees and streams filled with wild trout.

Then we made our way to Skyline Gondalas, and of course, it was raining, just like the last time we visited here with Hannah! The gondalas take you up Mt Ngongotaha, 487m above sea level.

Then it was onto Paradise Valley, a beautiful trout, bird and wild life park, and home to African Lions :)

Lots of pukekoes :

Very friendly goats, lol

Hannah even got to pat a lion cub which she thought was amazing.

So I'll be back with some more highlights from our trip soon.

Bye for now xx
