Catching Up Part One: Santa Parade 2011

Last Saturday, on a typical hot summer's day, it was the annual Santa parade in our little town.  Hannah was asked if she'd like to go on the float that was being organised by her daycare provider and she looked forward to it for days.

This year's theme for the parade was Fairy Tales - there were some really cute floats!

There's Hannah waving, and the little girl in purple is her best friend

Here comes the float, they won their section too, $500.00, wahoo!

DH and I, he was roasting hot as he'd just come from stacking our firewood away, good man :)

Miss Zoe, enjoying herself as always.

My parents

Our local bagpipe band, they lead the parade with Amazing Grace, which always brings tears to my eyes

One of the local vintage cars

What a lovely parade put on by everyone involved, and of course, there were lots of lollies handed out!

See you soon x

Fabulous photos! I'll bet Hannah had lots of fun waving from her float.
Our Santa parade used to be a day parade but now takes place at night. All the floats are adorned with hundreds of Christmas lights. There are stands selling hot chocolate nearby and all the homes in the village turn on their Christmas lights to participate. It's beautiful!

How adorable! Hannah is a doll...looks like she had a great time. Zoe is such a lovely young lady too.

I missed our parade this year...that may be why I had a hard time getting the Christmas spirit, but I have it now...in spades, LOL!

It is funny to me to see sunshine and Christmas things together. Here, in the UK, today it is cold, raining and blowing a gale!
