JBW Designs French Country Butterfly

Thanks for the comments you left on my post yesterday - I had a lot of fun making up the ornies, I can see alot more of my stitched pieces being made up in a similiar style in future months :) The rotary cutter makes it so simple too. A friend actually gave me a pair of pinking shears recently but they are many years old so I've taken them into my local LNS to see if they are able to get them sharpened for me. Fingers crossed they can be done.

before I forget to mention it, Stephanie asked how did I get the shape for the oval ornament - I'd found an oval template online, used it to copy onto the card I was using, cut out two ovals and then laced the cross stitch fabric onto one and the backing fabric onto the other piece. Easy peasey, lol.

I had a little finish the other day and found some matching fabric in my sewing drawers to make it up into a little buttoned pillow. Its been quite some time since I've sewn one of these little pillows!

We enjoyed some sunny weather over the weekend so I took the opportunity to snap a pic of the pillow outside.
