A Day of Sunshine

On Saturday we headed up to Napier, a 50 minute drive north of here, to attend the annual Hohepa Fair. I've heard really great things about this fair, a true country fair with great arts and crafts stalls, entertainment, childrens' games, food and more. But we knew that we'd be there along with a few other thousand or so people!

As it turned out, it didn't matter that there were masses of people everywhere as the fair is held throughout the grounds of Hohepa, amongst the trees, and it was really well organised with marshalls directing you to carparks, then out of the grounds too.

Zoe and Hannah really enjoyed themselves, and Hannah got to try out the kids bouncy castle for the first time ever - she could have stayed on there all day, too funny.

Once we finished browsing the stalls at the fair, we decided to head on up the road a little further into Napier to have a walk along the Marine Parade. After picking up coffee for us adults, and gelato ice creams for the girls, we enjoyed a leisurely stroll along the beach front and found this lovely garden full of geraniums.

As its my brother Marcus'(Zoe's dad) birthday coming up later in the month, I asked Zoe to pose for some photos that we can get made into a photo book for her Dad. Hannah had to participate too and this is one of my favourites :)

I'll be back soon with some little Easter stitching finishes. Until then, be happy!
