Some finishing and finishes

Thanks for the sweet comments about Poppy - we can't wait to bring her home next week. I'm very tempted to go back and visit her before then, even though I know she's being extremely well looked after. Glenn's Mum Heather volunteers at the RSPCA shelter on a Friday afternoon and she has told me she will give her lots of cuddles when she's there this week. In the meantime I'll have to get in some kitty supplies, and some little toys for her to play with :)

My stitching group's annual exhibition begins this Friday for the weekend, and we started setting up today. It usually takes us two days to get everything looking just right. So over the recent weekend I had another sewing marathon to get a few things finished off.

JBW Designs Christmas Motif Sampler II

Little House Needleworks Season of Rest

Just Nan's Mermaid Heart

and a Ying Yang Bag.

Over the weekend it was also the monthly needleroll stitchalong so I pulled out the Rose Mosiac needleroll I had started last month. There was a lot more to this design that I had realised :)

Rose Mosiac Needleroll by M Designs, stitched on 32ct cream lugana

Did anyone else stitch on a needleroll, my apologies for not posting a reminder :)

Kath gave me a belated birthday present while we were away down south which I couldn't resist starting and finishing last week, thanks again Kath.

2007 Fob by Shepherds Bush

and lastly for today, ta da!! Here is Titania

Titania,Queen of the Fairies by Mirabilia

stitched on 32ct Kiwi Illusions Pipi

I only finished her last Friday night, so not quite in time to be framed for the exhibition but I will still be able to display her. What a good feeling it was to finish her. I started her almost a year ago but because of either exchange projects or gift stitching I didn't really get underway on her until this year.

Since some of my SAL projects have been sadly neglected over the past few weeks I've decided to spend a bit of time catching up on them and stitching a few ornaments before starting anything new.

Titania is beautiful -- Mirabilia is one of my favorite designers. I haven't made any of the fairies-- YET, but you inspire me to start that one! :D) I loved your Holiday photos and congrats on your kitty! I have 2 and they keep me busy.

Your finishes are lovely and inspiring. I hope that soon I'll have some lovely finishes too.

Just a note, yingyang is very different from yin/yang.
