Exchange and Weekend stitching

For the past year I've been in a seasonal exchange, partnered up with Kelly from the US. Every 4 months or so we have been send each other a parcel of goodies, in relation to the season. Recently I sent off the last parcel to Kelly, which I'm pretty sure would have arrived by now, and which had to contain "something" stitched. I chose to stitch Friendship by the Trilogy and made it into a buttoned pillow

I also made Kelly a bag for her stitching, using a butterfly fabric since Kelly likes butterflies

My SBEBB house exchange has arrived safely to its destination, to Annemiek in the Netherlands so I can share what I stitched for Annemiek, Little House Needleworks Sampler House - how could I resist, and this I also made into a buttoned pillow ( can you tell I've got a "thing" for these at the moment!!)

Glenn and I didn't have any plans this weekend so didn't venture far at all, which was good as we both had several jobs that we wanted to do around the house. I also decided to make a start on some spring cleaning - our laundry and office/my stash house both got a thorough tidy up and clean. Don't you feel good when its done though :)

And guess what, the wedding sampler is completely finished, beading and all! It took me awhile on Friday night to get my friends' names charted right, three times I stitched them in the space and then pulled out the thread to stitch them again but finally, its all done. Will have a pic to share tomorrow hopefully. I got the sewing machine out on Saturday afternoon and made up Kath's ornament, and also my redwork piece so they are both ready to post out this week sometime. Because I'm a little ahead of schedule with my exchange stitching I decided to get out Christmas Elf fairy and spent a fair bit of time stitching her Saturday night and then last night too.

so its only her boots and wings to go now :)

Thanks too everyone, for the comments about the needleroll and cards, they mean a lot.

What wonderful exchanges. I love the butterful bag.

Your Christmas Fairy Elf is looking good. Keep up the good work and you'll have her done in no time...but doing all that white in the wings can be such a pain. I so enjoyed doing the beading on her. Once you get going on it it will go by so quickly

Beautiful exchanges! No surprise you stitched a LHN house! ;)

How do you finish the cross stitched fabric neatly for the front of the pillows? Is it just turned under or backed or what?

The Elf Fairy is looking lovely too - definitely the prettiest of those kits. :)
