Celtic Winter Progress

I'm really really enjoying stitching Celtic Winter, I might just spend a few more hours on her this week. That will make up for the reverse stitching I had to do not once, but twice, on Saturday night! I just could not get the hair stitched right, lol.

The weather has been pretty miserable here for the past day or so, windy and then rain, but I shouldn't complain as we do need the rain, it was getting pretty dry since we haven't had alot so far this spring. Glenn made another pebbly garden on Saturday, similiar to the one we made last weekend, so this rain is good for the new plants.

I spent pretty much most of the weekend either doing housework or wedding things. The little gifts for our guests are all done, I've been working on the seating plan for the reception and the best part, I went for a dress fitting!! I bought my dress sometime ago and all it needed was to be taken in at the bust and then the hem shortened. A lady that my Mum works with is a seamstress so she offered to look at it for me. Wahoo, what a difference it made seeing how much its going to look with those alterations. next time I go I'll take my jewellery, etc to get a really good idea of what its all going to look like together. This coming Saturday is Glenn's stag night as well as my bridal shower/hen's night which my cousins Odette and Kimberley are organising. Fingers crossed the weather is alot better as all I've been told to take is my swimsuit and a change of clothes, doesn't that sound a bit suspect??? ummm. However, I know that the girls are planning a few "team" games for everyone so at least I won't be the only one on show!!

This time in two weeks I'll start my leave for the wedding. I'm taking off from Monday 17th October until either the 2nd or 3rd November, flexible there, as Glenn and I haven't really made any plans to go away anywhere just yet. We're going to have a lot of family and friends around town after the wedding, especially our friends coming from Aruba, Australia and the UK and we'd like to spend the time with them. Glenn and I both have our annual holidays over Christmas and New Year so we may even leave going away until then, Christmas is only just around the corner now, there's a scary thought!!
