Gosh, the weather here today is terrible, lots of heavy rain and wind. It would have been the perfect day to stay home by the warmth of the fire but it's off to work and school we go.
Last week I finished a few more zippered vinyl pouches, I so enjoy making these. The red Christmas one is for me and the others will go into the gift box.
Ever since I started learning how to crochet, I've just loved Lucy from Attic 24's blog with all the colourful photos and gorgeous creations.
I've now made two of her blankets, the Morland Blanket and also, the Cupcake Stripe blanket. I've had the yarn kit for a Cosy Stripe blanket for ages now so on the weekend I decided it was time to get it out and make a start.
Like the other blankets, it will probably take me a few months but I'm looking forward to using these delicious, happy colours over our winter months.
See you soon xx

You certainly do some lovely work Katrina. I love the colours of the wool. It is going to be a gorgeous rug.
The Christmas red pouch is just lovely some people are going to be lucky getting gifts from your present drawer. Which pattern/tutorial do you use to make your pouches?
Pretty pouches.
That will be a very colorful afghan, so pretty.

I love your pouches! Could I also ask which pattern you use? I would like to try to make some though my machine skills are limited.
I'm partway through Lucy's Coastal blanket - her colour choices are beautiful!
You can't beat a cosy crochet project in the winter months. I'm late starting mine this year, and will probably end up cooking under it in the summer! LOL
The colours of your yarn look lovely. I can't crochet but think I'd like to learn as there is a beautiful wrap, in shades of blue, in a magazine I bought recently and I'd love to make it. My neighbour does beautiful crochet work...I'll have to ask her to teach me! Meg:)
Those pouches are cute, and would be perfect for my applique projects. Might have to investigate making these for my sister and me one day ....
My sister crochets and made the cosy stripe blanket last year. See here
