By the Sea

This week I am back to work after my summer holidays, I can't believe how fast the time went! We've been having the hottest weather here but today the temperature has finally dropped and with it has come some rain, which is very welcome for our parched gardens.

During the holidays Hannah and I spent a gorgeous summer day with my parents and Zoe up in Napier.

New to the Marine Parade in Napier is a viewing platform, which is just by the Soundshell. There's been quite a bit of controversy about it in the local papers, but we thought it was awesome!

Time for lunch and a rest at the Soundshell.

Then onto our favourite spot, Ahuriri, where the girls enjoyed a swim.

Although its only an hour's drive away from home you feel like you are a million miles away and nothing beats Napier on a fine day, beside the sea.

See you soon xx

Oh my but that does look like a piece of heaven! Our summer has been just as extreme with loads of areas suffering from a drought! Hope the first few days of work doesn't stress you out too much!

Thanks for sharing the sunshine with us, we are having some really dull days here and so much rain!
Looks like you had a wonderful time :-)
