Flowers in the Snow - New Crochet Project

For quite some time now I've been looking for a pattern to make a crochet blanket - just for me! I've been pinning quite a few different photos of blankets to my crochet board on Pinterest, which you can see here.

I've  really liked the idea of colours in the middle of the square, or circle, and then surrounded by white or cream. Then I spotted this blanket made by Jacqui from Bunny Mummy , which then led me to the pattern Flowers in the Snow blanket by Solveig from Solstrikke.

I've only made three circles so far so ummm, another 120 or so to go!  But this will be a perfect winter project over the next few months and a good way to use up some of my wool stash. I'm not going to use any particular colour combination, it's going to be completely random, whatever I pull out at the time.

See you soon x

Looks like fun - and it will be so colourful. I'm going to start a second blanket with leftovers from the first, but am still looking for a perfect pattern. I think I want rows rather than squares, but I'll be interested to see your progress.

The randomness of colors will make a truly unique blanket. Have fun with it.

Very pretty, perfect activity for cooler evenings too. I don't crochet, but luckily my sister does.

I love crocheting and this new project of yours seems like perfect way to use of all of the left overs while creating something lovely! I haven't gotten back into granny squares but I am doing something similar with mills ends skeins of lions brand homespun yarn and black yarn.
