Cherish Life

This was such a sweet little design to stitch :)

I made my needle book bigger than the suggested finish, and so you can see the whole design.

Thank you to my lovely friend Kath, who gave me the needle threader and spotty scissor sheath for my birthday last week.

The inside :

If I can track down some more of the purple fabric I'm going to make a project bag with the first stitched piece from the series.

Thanks for stopping xx

PS: A big thank you for the comments left on my recents posts - they are always wonderful to read :)

Looking at the mottled background of that dot, I'm pretty sure that it's not Michael Miller, Dear Stella, Benartex or RJR. The spacing of the dots tells me it's not Maywood. So if you pop into JJ's to try to match it, tell Joanne/Jan that I said it's not from Ascot Lane!! LOL xx

Fabric is Cornucopia range from Fig Tree Joanna Figueroa been around for good while and likely to be just sitting on a shelf somewhere. I feel a road trip coming on Trina. I have the green and a tiny piece of the purple only. Not sure if anyone else has bought out that colour sadly

It turned out wonderfully, and the little scissor sheath was perfect for it. I love SB pieces, the coloring is so soft and the designs so sweet. Earlier you posted a picture of a self crusting quiche, it looked delicious, and we are going into our summer months here when veggies will be plentiful, could you give me the recipe? Thanks.

Hi Katrina, I love how you finished the needle book, it is much nicer to see the whole stitched piece and not fold it in half. I have just stitched this too and notice that your little blackbird does not have his beak or feet... perhaps you have noticed now and added?
A happy belated birthday to you, such nice stitchy gifts...
btw, if you are coming to Sydney and have an hour to spare, I would love to meet you for a cuppa or a glass of wine?? I would also be happy to drive you over to the local needlework shops....but I know how busy you will get being a tourist in this city, we have lived here for 2 years and I still feel like a tourist...
