March Makes

Where did March go? It was a very busy few weeks for us, including the ongoing kitchen renovation, photos to come soon!

The end of the month yesterday finished with a very shaky afternoon for us - there was a 5.2 earthquake at 2pm, centered quite close to our little town, followed by lots of small after shocks. I've never felt an earthquake as severe as that one, my heart was racing I can tell you! Very scary indeed.

I was a busy wee stitcher and crafter during March, finishing off one or two little projects on the go and making a few gifts for friends birthdays too.

This little Christmas pillow was a leftover wip from last year, I had intended it to be Hannah's 2013 ornament. I love this cute design and also some of the others by Madame Chantilly.

My Valentine stitch:

February Word Play by With Thy Needle

Knitted hand warmers for a friend, pattern can be found on Ravelry as a free download.

Baby Uggs, to be sent to the UK soon, pattern found here

My first ever face cloths, crochet pattern from Simply Crochet Issue 3

Now our new kitchen is functional I spent a few hours on Saturday afternoon baking some lunch box treats and also a birthday chocolate cake for my younger brother's birthday lunch on Sunday. Hannah decided on the icing colour and how to decorate it :)

Back soon with some kitchen pics!

Love all your projects, especially the first one. I am going online to see if I can find it. I have a friend who would live that. Cake looks yummy.

Great stitching, knitting and crochet. The birthday cake looks delicious.

I felt one of the earthquakes yesterday (it was only mild down here). I've experienced a few big ones (and lots of smaller ones) since last July, so can sympathise. They are very scarey indeed. I hope it has settled down now.

There has been quite a bit of seismic activity the last couple of days here in the States too. Thankfully, not near my home, nor have they been damaging quakes.

March has kept you busy, I see! Hope you can keep it going in April. :)

I love your stitches this month! And those facecloths...aren't they nice? I make those too (from time to time). And I hope that Marcus had a lovely birthday, I'd like a big slab of that cake! :)

What a busy and productive month March was for you, Katrina!! I love that Sants ornament--so cute!!

Gosh, that earthquake sounds scary--I can't imagine!! They had some in California last week, too--I wonder if they were related? Take care now...

You've been busy. Lovely finishes!

Oh, earthquakes, yikes! I heard about the one down in California recently. I wonder it's related to your too. I hope the quakes have settled! We felt a small one once - I thought a truck had hit our house!

Love the Santa. Your finishing is great! We had some earthquakes near us in the UK a few years ago and my friend seriously thought she had a poltergeist as her cupboard doors opened by themselves!

Earthquakes are NO fun! I spent years in San Francisco, and have been in many. Thought I was past that when I moved to the East Coast, but two summers back we had one here! Small, but nonetheless, scary! Lots of them at this time... hmmm... Love all your finishes, especially the February Word Play--such a bright and cheery one! Hugs!
