Our Kiwi Christmas

Before the year comes to an end, here's a snapshot from our wonderful Christmas, starting with a visit to my aunt and uncle's on Christmas Eve to see their Christmas lights.

Hannah just before going to bed on Christmas Eve in her new pj's, a tradition we started on her first Christmas six years ago.

Even Poppy has a little stocking to enjoy on Christmas morning

Miss Maggie was a hit!

We had a lovely day spent with both sides of our family, enjoying lots of delicious food and some great pressies.

Boxing Day we had a family barbeque at our house, and we also had my cousin Donna staying with us for a few days. Glenn and I have spent quite a bit of time gardening, and although the weather hasn't been as hot as what we usually have it at this time of the year, we've been enjoying spending time in the pool.

Mum and I went along to the movies on a rainy afternoon to see the lastest in the Hobbit series, the Desolation of Smaug, which we both enjoyed.

We don't have any plans to celebrate New Year's Eve tonight, just a barbeque and a few drinks, bubbles of course. Tomorrow we're going to be spending the day at the Races, we haven't done this ages on New Year's day so it will be fun.

Happy New Year!

Thanks for sharing your Christmas with us! I loved seeing photos of the flowers and swimming in the pool. Imagining that warmth helps get me through our frigid days!
I have close friends who are leaving for NZ next week to spend 5 weeks there. I look forward to seeing their photos upon their return!
