This Weekend

Hello there

Hannah and I have both been under the weather recently so I was so pleased to see this weekend come around, to be able to just be at home, spending time resting and getting some extra sleep :) Hannah was home from school last Thursday and Friday so I had lots of time for stitching and crafting, but more about that in another post.

The 1st of September means that Spring has officially started here in the southern hemisphere, and although we've had a bit of a return to winter weather in recent days, the warmer weather is now just around the corner. I love this time of the year and its only four weekends until our Daylight Savings hours begin.

Now September is here the countdown is on until our annual family holiday. This year we're heading to Auckland, where we are going to have a catch up with some of DH's relatives, in particular, his dear Grandma, who is now 92 years old and we haven't seen since Hannah was a few months old back in 2008.

So a few snaps from the recent weekend:

What are you doing up there Miss Poppy?

Hannah amusing herself with my pots on a rainy Saturday morning - apparently I did this a lot with Mum's pots when I was little!

Happy Father's Day yesterday to a wonderful Dad and DH, and my lovely Dad and FIL

Relaxing Saturday night - Poppy is debating whether to sit on DH or with Hannah

Hannah all dressed up warmly for a play outside yesterday afternoon, don't you just love the earmuffs over the hat, lol

I just wanted to say thank you for all the lovely comments left for me recently - I truly appreciate them.

See you soon xx

i hope you both feel better soon!. your cat makes me laugh!.

i wanted to ask about where you get your cross stitch supplies - within NZ or do you send away?.
after watching your santas village for most of this year i have taken the plunge and got back into stitching after about 20yrs!
i'm returning to NZ in Nov, and am wondering if i should stock up before i go, or are there enough stores/websites to keep me in projects?!.

I am glad you and Hannah are on the mend. Miss Poppy is so sweet. I do remember the ruckus with the banging of the pots when my three were little. ;)

I love Hannah in her outfit! It's funny how she is doing the same thing with the the pots that you did when you were a wee girl. Definitely something in the genes!

Miss Poppy looks so cute there.

Happy Spring! We are definitely starting Autumn here!
