A few weeks ago we decided to plan a midwinter mini holiday to coincide with Glenn's birthday so this past weekend we headed up to Napier, our favourite seaside city. What a contrast to our summer break there earlier in the year, but at least we left the rain behind us at home.
We chose to stay at the Masonic, Napier's Art Deco Hotel, where all the rooms are in Art Deco style, and it's location is just perfect for checking out the local sights.
Napier has some lovely shops including one right by the hotel called Beija Flor, which stocks lots of beautiful jewellery, including my favourite, Pandora. Pandora has recently released a new solid silver bracelet so I couldn't resist getting one and a new Murano glass charm.
Hannah had a couple of activities she wanted to try out this weekend including Mini putt golf, she even scored a hole in one!
There always so much to see and do in Napier. We spent ages Saturday afternoon on the Bluff Hill lookout, watching over the Port of Napier, where a huge boat was being pushed out of the port by two little tug boats, and then another large container ship was guided into the port.
Of course we had to try out a few of our favourite restaurants and cafes.
Too soon our little break was over and it was time to head back home again.
See you soon x

Looks like you had a wonderful time. I'm thinking of buying another charm for my Pandora when we go to Sydney for 10 days next month.
