A Long Weekend

 Hello friends

this weekend we had an extra day to our weekend, a public holiday yesterday for the Queen's birthday. I still can't believe that its now actually June and winter is officially here.

I've been feeling a bit under the weather over the past few days, just a stinky head cold that seems to be doing the rounds so I didn't get onto all the things I wanted to get done to make the most of an extra day off but I guess there's always next weekend!  We still managed to fit in Hannah's first school disco, a catch up with friends, a baby shower and then a birthday party, as well as lots of tv watching the final of NZ Masterchef and My Kitchen Rules. What am I going to watch on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday nights now, lol.

Last week we had a couple of very crisp and icy starts to the morning, but were left with gorgeous days of sunshine.

This particular day it was -1 c when I got to work! brrrrr.

DH made the most of the long weekend and did some work on our extension - we now have a completed ceiling!

and a framed entrance :)

This certainly has been a work in progress over the past few years!!

As always, thanks for the lovely comments you leave me, I always enjoy hearing from you. See you soon x

It sounds like you had a busy weekend. Hope you feel better soon! Funny how house renovations always seem to take so long. :) Enjoyed the pictures!

I hope you've managed to shake that cold!
Loved your fall pics! I didn't realize it got that cold there in the fall. Brrrr! Things are just starting to warm up here and I can't think of going back to cold temps again.
Your renovations look wonderful. You're so lucky that your DH is handy that way.
