This Week

Hello friends

How's the week been for you? We're having the most loveliest days at the moment but could terribly do with some rain. There's been no decent rainfall here in months, and now our part of the country, alongside several other areas, has been declared a drought zone.  You can see some photos of the conditions here.

Earlier this week I started stitching the first in the Little House Needleworks Virtue series, Hope.
I'm using the recommended fabric and threads, and at this stage I'm going to use Vonna's excellent tutorial for the finishing, once I've sourced some felt.

I recently purchased a few charts from my wish list. Oh which one to do first, these will keep me busy over the winter months.

I also popped into the local scrapbooking store intending to get some ribbon for my lastest Christmas ornie finish and found it was 50% off in the shop so a few new ribbons and buttons came home with me.

I'm hoping to start this Blackbird Designs chart Friday night, once I've decided on some fabric.

Its one of my good friends birthdays coming up in early April so I'd better get cracking on it hadn't I?

Happy crafting x

Oh my! What a lovely post. Love all your new charts and goodies. Just a few weeks ago I too went to a scrapbook shop and picked up some ribbons plus:) Scrapbook stores have pretty ribbon selections. Beautiful new stash you've added - wow.

Lovely buys. Looked at the drought pics. So dry down there. We are here but we must be going fine as not even looking at declaring us a drought zone yet. Flew over the Waikato and they are bad. Even Miss 16 said they are worse than us and we look green compared to them...lol. Praying for some of that Cyclone Sandy effects on Sunday. Fingers and toes are all crossed.

Hope is going to be cute as a button, isn't it? Oh, and stash---lots of it to keep you busy! Yay! We don't have any scrapbook stores around anymore. They used to be the rage, but have all disappeared! Great finds on sale! Hugs!

Well done on Hope. I was just reading Vonna's tutorial today and it looks pretty straightforward.
I love your new stash. I just purchased A Red Cottage and I have the Stacy Nash design on my wishlist.
Great choice for your new start. I'm getting close to a finish on my BBD so I'm starting to look through my stash for a new start. I don't know which one to go with first. There are so many that I love.
