A Knitting Finish

I'm very pleased to have my first knitting finish of the year, a Kina cardigan for Hannah.

In these pics the wool is very pink looking, its not actually this bright!

Such a easy design to follow, and using one of my favourite brands of wool from the Wool Company, this knitted up over a couple of Thursday evenings.  Hannah's very happy with her new cardigan, I just need to sew on that button :)

Earlier in the week the much needed rain arrived, and with it a temperature drop, 30 C on Monday and then only 11c on Tuesday so of course I start thinking about some winter knitting projects.  Two of my close friends are having babies later in the year so I've been sorting out some baby knitting patterns.  I also picked out some colours to make hats and hand warmers for Hannah and Zoe.

I was so pleased to see our local bookshop now has this lovely magazine in stock!

I had been buying the digital copies on my Ipad but much prefer to flick through the pages!  Some really lovely patterns in there that even this beginner crocheter can make :)
