A Kiwi Christmas

Hello friends

It's now a few days since all the Christmas festivities and its hard to believe that its all over for another year!
It's been very hot and sticky here since Christmas day and this afternoon it's a little cooler so I've been spending the afternoon catching up with emails and downloading photos from our Christmas day celebrations.

We had a wonderful Christmas filled with family, pressies, lots of fun and laughter, and lots of food and drink too ! Here's a little glimpse into our Christmas day

Our Christmas tree on Christmas morning - Hannah was so excited!

Hannah in her new pj's - it's become a tradition for her to open a parcel on Christmas Eve containing some new pj's

Hannah and Zoe, Christmas morning brunch at my parents

Some of my Mum's lovely decorations

My Mum, who is such a Christmas fan, and just loves this time of the year.

cutie pie nieces Alice and Sally, Christmas morning tea with Glenn's parents

Some of the goodies I made, rocky road and tim tam truffles

brother in law Paul, pre Christmas lunch snack :)

Our Kiwi Christmas day was a boiling hot day so out came the barbeque - ham, roast pork and lamb, as well as lots of delicious salads

My cousin Odette - all the family gathered at Odette and Paul's house Christmas afternoon

Some of my younger cousins - Guy, Kimberley with Hannah, Josh, Zoe and Marcus in the front

We all got thoroughly spoilt with lots of great pressies. Watching Hannah open hers was just priceless. Glenn gave me a Sony stereo docking system for my Iphone and Ipad, which I was just thrilled with so I've spent a bit of time over the past few days loading up my entire CD collection onto Itunes :)

For the first time Glenn and I decided to hit the Boxing Day sales, it was crazy, driving around for ages looking for a car parks and then queues as long as each of the shops! Just mad! But we did get a few bargins - a new barbeque for Glenn and some new bar stools for our covered in barbeque area, which are all being put to great use this week:)

And now it really feels like we're holiday - our days are consisting of sleeping in, having late breakfasts, doing a few things before it gets hot, then having lunch, going for a dip in the pool, chilling out around the house, then maybe another swim, having dinner, then another swim before settling down to end the evening watching a movie or whatever takes our fancy on tv. We're just soaking up the sunshine and relaxing, guess that's what a summer holiday is all about isn't it?

I'll be back soon to share some of the wonderful crafty and stitching gifts I received from friends.

See you soon xx

It looks like a good time was had by all, especially your mother. She looks fun to be around.
