Easy Fingerless Mitts

Hello friends
I hope you had a lovely weekend and found some time for stitching or crafting.

We had a relaxing weekend, with a little trip out of town on Saturday to Hastings, about a 40min drive north of here, for some shopping and lunch out. Yesterday we spent some time with my MIL and two young nieces, Alice and Sally, while their parents were unpacking at their new house they've recent moved into. My BIL Paul, has just been appointed the new Principal at one of our rural primary schools - we are so proud of him and its going to be wonderful having Paul, SIL Jude and our nieces living so much closer.

I finished the pair of fingerless mitts over the weekend, a simple little pattern. Knitted flat and then sewn up along the thumb side.

These were knitted with less than 1 x 50gram ball of Patons Inca and a pair of 4.5mm (US 7) needles. I found the pattern by Roxanne Richardson at Ravelry here.

On my knitting needles now I'm having a go at Pocketbook slippers, they are so cute :)

Enjoy your day. See you soon!

Love the mitts! Knitting mittens was one of the first things I ever learned to do!

Congratulations to your BIL on his new job!!
