Gifts from Friends

Today is the first day of my Christmas holidays and as I've been feeling a bit under the weather with a summer cold over the past week, I'm so pleased that my break is finally here. Wahoo!

I've had a few surprises arrive in the mail this week. First up, this cutie pie from Harmien - this is one ornament I've been wanting to make myself for ages. Just so sweet. Thanks again Harmien.

This is from my stitching friend Clare. Clare doesn't have a blog but she's hoping to set one up in the New year.
Across the ditch from Adelaide, Australia, came this stitched Christmas card from another good friend Gilly. Next year we can hang the Santa on our tree - too cute.

and lastly, from another dear friend of mine, Pat, a fellow kiwi stitcher, I received this card and stitching pattern. Pat tells me the photo on the card is from her garden, just gorgeous.

We're almost all set for Christmas now - most of the shopping has been done and pressies all wrapped. This year we'll be spending Christmas morning with my parents, then a visit to Glenn's parents and then its onto one of my aunty's for a big family get together. Its looking like we're going to be for a hot Christmas day if this week is anything to go by, its been reaching 30 C most days.

I'll be back tomorrow with a few pics of the last of my 2010 ornaments - see you then!
