Simple Joys

Over the recent weekend I put the final stitches into Simple Joys by Little House Needleworks:

Simple Joys by Little House Needleworks
stitched on 28ct lugana (I think)
using recommended threads

This was a lovely design to stitch. I've no idea how I'm going to finish this so in meantime it will go into my box of unfinished stitched pieces :)

Last night I started the first of three baby samplers that I've got planned to stitch over the next few months - the first being Baby Row by Bent Creek. This is one is going to be a gift for my best friends's new baby, William, who was born in June. The second is Circus Row, for another good friend's son, and finally, Sweet Sweet Babe, which is going to be for my cousin Ange's new baby Molly, born in August. I've actually stitched Sweet Sweet Babe before, back in 2007, but might have a go this time at switching around some colours. Amongst these, I'd really like to start the Virtue Sampler by Little House Needleworks. So its looking like its going to be a busy few stitching weeks coming up! The good thing is we've got a long weekend coming up next weekend, Friday and Monday are both public holidays, and then I've got a week's annual leave in early November. My needle will be flying!
Thanks for stopping by today :)

Simple joys is wonderful!! I really like your choices for the baby samplers. I tried to keep up with my grand nieces and nephews, but they got too much for me - LOL There are now 26 of them!!
