Spring is in the Air

Its now Sunday evening here and its been a pretty good weekend all round. Spring feels like its here (well, I do wonder with all this rain we keep on having), and its given us the spring clean up bug - time to get stuck in, get some things cleared out, spring/summer clothes sorted out, kitchen drawers tidied up, etc, etc. DH and I spent ages this morning clearing out our garden shed, and then his garage - isn't it always the way, he makes the mess but I still have to help clean it up, lol.

Anyways, here's a few things we've been enjoying over that past few days -

Hannah's new puzzle:::::

Some freshly made banana & blueberry muffins for afternoon tea :::::

Which I found the recipe for in my new baking cookbook, Anyone can Bake by Annabel Langbein :::::

And another Annabel Langbein cookbook I picked up this week as I've been really enjoying her new TV show on a Saturday evening :::

A new batch of playdough for Hannah, green this time ::::::

We also enjoyed the wonderful company last night of some friends, including Kath, for an impromtu dinner, lets get Fish n Chips we said! lol. It was a lovely catch up - Hannah had a neat time with the kids, and big cousin Zoe was also here for the night.

Hope you've had an enjoyable weekend too!

Yummo, the new cookbooks look great and the muffins even greater. I must admit some of the things she's making on TV at the moment look awesome and don't you just love the way she throws ingredients into jam jars?
I'm sooo over this rain, how about you.

Just surfed in and was so pleased that I did, the daffadills certainly let us know that Spring has arrived and your fine needlework is simply beautiful.

Looks like you're making good memories! I'm happy summer is almost over here in Texas. I'm looking forward to cool nights and being able to wear boots, hats, and sweaters!

I too am so enjoying Annabel Langbein cooking on Saturday nights. She makes it all look so effortless. The rain and changeable weather is getting to me too, (typical of Auckland), but I just keep thinking of the people of christchurch.
