Lots to Share

One of my favourite stitching acquisitions each year has to be the Just Cross Stitch Ornaments magazine. I always order it from overseas as it can be several months before we see it anywhere here in New Zealand. This year's issue arrived in the mail on Saturday from Amy at Down Sunshine Lane and as much as I tried not to look at it until all my daily jobs were done, I couldn't resist making a cup of coffee and ripping open the envelope!

My "must stitches" this year are all from some of my favourite designers - JBW Designs, Plum Street Samplers and Blackbird Designs as well as several others. Oh, which to stitch first, ummmm....

I've had some more lovely mail arrive this week too - a couple of new books to add to my craft collection. This Baby Knits book:

Containing lots and lots

of sweet patterns
which is handy to have all in one book. I hope to do one or two things out of here for Christmas pressies.

And another interesting book containing several neat projects, one I've admired for awhile now

Containing all the supplies to make your own Cath Kidson bag, which I'm going to set aside to do during my next holiday break.
I've started a couple of new stitching projects lately, the first being Simple Joys by Little House Needleworks:

Not so sure about my fabric choice for this one, however, its such a pretty design.

I couldn't not share this pic of Miss H, taken yesterday afternoon after arriving home from day care
Wearing her first ever made hat! Sorry, her "crown" she told me, lol.
Hope you're having a super week!

Great purchases, lots of inspiration there! Love your Simple Joys start, I ordered that not long ago, can't wait till it gets here, also the JCS Ornie issue as well. Your Hannah is such a cutie, complete with her 'crown', perfect for a princess.

I must run out and get the Ornie Issue soon! It must be in the stores here by now.

I like your fabric choice for Simple Joys. What are you using?

I'm hoping to find myself a copy of the JCS ornament issue this weekend. It always arrives here in Canada a bit later as well.
Hannah's crown is very cute on her!

Hi Katrina :o) Just catching up on your blog after my little break. I got LOTS done, so I was pleased! And Abbey seems to be napping a little more, for longer periods of time, too, so that really helped.

I just got my Ornaments magazine, as well. I have flipped through it so many times already and each time I do I see ornaments in there that I hadn't noticed during previous browsing! :o)

Love Hannah's 'crown' :o)
