Grownups Weekend

Over the recent weekend DH and I headed to Wellington for a night with some good friends. We stayed right in central Wellington - our motel room was very, very flash and we had a great view too. Shame about the noise level coming from the street below at 3am! nevermind, I always travel with my handy earplugs, lol.

We'd left some extremely stormy weather behind us in Hawkes Bay and arrived to quite a sunny day, and very surprisingly, little wind. After a few hours walking around taking in the sights, and of course, some shopping, we dined at Lonestar, which has to be one of my favourite places to eat out.

Then all too soon, it was Sunday and it was time to head back home. What a fun weekend it was, and we're hoping to do it again soon, this time maybe with the kids too. We'll see, lol.

Gorgeous pic. We love Wellington too, it's one of my favourite NZ cities. We're taking the kids for a trip up there in November - can't wait!

I have taken inspiration from you and started a similar quilt for my two sons(aged 2 1/2 and 4)..
