Things I'm enjoying

Feijoas are in season here at the moment, and after my Dad visited the other day with a huge bag for us I quickly hunted out one of my favourite recipes - a very simple feijoa loaf, which we are now enjoying this week. Ummm, I love the smell of feijoas.

For the past few months I've been recieving a small parcel from Karen at the Stitching Post containing a Block of the Month series, Shake your Tail Feathers by Cinderberry Stitches. A few weeks ago the last block arrived - I can't wait to get started on this, the colours of the fabrics are simply gorgeous.

Very autumn like thats for sure

I couldn't resist treating myself to the new Charlene Gingher scissors - once again, the service I received from Carol's DH was superb:)

I haven't had the chance til now to share some lovely stitchey birthday gifts I received from friends last month. From my very talented stitching pal Clare, I was given this gorgeous bag -

which when opened, reveals all these little pockets for my stitching gadgets.

Clare also gave me a block roll, for storing all my finished stitched pieces in. She couldn't have picked a more perfect fabric, I just adore it.

From my dear friend and workmate Wendy, I recieved this nifty scissor holder -

Its so cleverly made, and the once again, I love the fabric Wendy picked out.

Four days of my holiday break have been and gone already - I knew this week would fly by. Its going to be a very exciting few days coming up here - our little girl turns two years old tomorrow!

Have a lovely day x

Can't wait to see your Tail Feathers quilt. Lovely stitchy bday gifts, and those scissors are wee beauties. Hope the rest of your leave is filled with lots of stitching, and birthday fun for Hannah. Happy birthday to your little one for tomorrow.

OMW, your stash is gorgeous, please keep us posted on your progress :)

I gotta ask, what are feijoas? I imagine they are a fruit?

Happy belated birthday, you are so blessed to have such wonderful, caring friends who share your creativity.

Hugs

That bread looks delicious! I had to look up what a feijoa was. First time I'd ever heard of this fruit. I'll bet it makes a tasty loaf.
Your birthday gifts are all lovely. You have some very talented friends.
I hope you have a very enjoyable birthday celebration with your daughter.
