Catching Up

Hi friends, I hope this post finds you well. As for me, I'm pretty good, just been very busy over the last few weeks with lots going on around home and at work too. My holiday week is now a distant memory, ha ha, but I did have a very enjoyable time doing lots of "me-things" while DH was at work and Hannah was at day care.

So, let me fill you in about happenings around here.

Hannah turned two years old on Friday 7th May - can you believe it? I'm still getting my head around it actually - that I'm mummy to a two year old now. Where did those two years go?

Hannah had a party at daycare on Thursday with her little friends, breakfast out with Mummy & Daddy and lunch with grandparents on her actual birthday, and of course, lots of neat pressies. Then we had a small family party on the Saturday night, which we all enjoyed so much, especially seeing all the little ones having so much fun.

Hannah thought her birthday cake was pretty cool! Under all that green icing was a marble cake :)

All dressed up before the party - check out the sparkly shoes that friends bought Hannah!
The two year old!

I hope you had a really nice Mother's day too - I was presented with a handmade card and little handpainted box for my special treasures by Hannah, then DH took us out for dinner so in all it was a very enjoyable day. I think I may have even had some quality stitching time too.

As usual, I've been stitching away and have recently finished several small Christmas ornaments to be given out to family and friends this year. I've also made considerable progress on another of the birth samplers that I'd been asked to stitch. I'm stitching Tralala's Gardienne de chats
And talking about birth samplers, I asked a friend of mine to make a frame for Sailing Home - I was very thrilled to see how its turned out.

I hope to be back in the next few days with some stitchey pics - see you then!

The time flies quickly, so take time to enjoy every minute! My baby will graduate from high school this year - it seems like she was just a toddler yesterday.

Hannah's birthday cake looks yummy!
