First 2010 Finishes & Holiday Snaps

Our few days away came and went so quickly - we had a great time catching up with my aunt, uncle and cousin Donna. I didn't get any stitching done while there, but instead I did plenty of reading and shopping :)

Since I've been home, I've had two small ornament finishes.

This one I started in early December, intending to give it to my Mum but never got quite there, oh well, it will be all ready for Christmas 2010!

Jingle All the Way - Fancy Work
Just Cross Stitch Ornaments 2009
stitched on 32ct cream belfast with DMCs

The next ornament finish is also from the JCS 2009 magazine.

Winter Sampler -Little House Needleworks
stitched on 32ct light mocha belfast with Crescent Colour threads

Now for some holiday snaps. In Palmerston North is a lovely park called the Esplanade and as well as having a renown Rose Garden, there is a wonderful playground for the children. Miss Hannah had a ball there :

Eating Gelato icecream with cousin Donna - yummy!

Going for a ride on the train with Mummy

such a silly expression on her face, I can't remember what Hannah was watching here :)

I only have a few more days of my holiday left - the days have flown by so quickly, but then they always do over the Christmas and New Year break. I'm hoping to get some quality stitching time when Hannah goes back to day care on Monday, my friend Clare is coming to stitch with me for a few hours.
oh yes, guess what? We've had our first proper swim in our pool just yesterday as Glenn managed to get the chemicals all sorted. It was just heavenly too.
Thanks so much for stopping by and staying hello, I so enjoy hearing from you. I do have a couple of questions to follow up, which I'll do in my next post. In the meantime, have a super weekend!
Hugs xx
