On the knitting needles this week....

A big, big thanks to everyone who left suggestions about baby samplers for me - there are some great ideas there, and I've slowly been checking them all out :) I've got a couple that I like -Blackbird Designs Sailing Home and Sailor Collar by Shepherds Bush, and of course, Just Nan's Baby Garden, which I stitched for Hannah's birth sampler. This will be actually one of three baby samplers that I'll be stitching over the next few months - I'd already promised another friend one for her new son born in June, and I'd planned to stitch one of Tralala's designs for our niece Alice, for her first birthday in September.

Miss Poppy was having a stretch out in the sunshine streaming through our lounge window earlier so I thought I'd share a pic, its been some time since she made an appearance here! lol.

I've been a bit tired this week, mostly due to spending long hours at work preparing work for the end of our financial year so I've been knitting instead of stitching in the evenings. Recently a friend gave me this lovely merino wool and pattern to make a beret for Hannah, its so soft.

The other project I'm almost done with is a vest for Hannah using this great pattern :)

This is the same brand of wool I used for the sideways sweater, only in a pink/white shade.

Righto, I'm off to make the most of the sunshine we're having today, taking Hannah and our friend Georgia for a walk into town for some lunch out. Have an excellent weekend!

Poppy looks very happy in the sun beam. Lovely yarn to be working with too, it will make a beautiful cap, and the vest is looking wonderful too.
