Bit of a Catch Up

Happy new year to you all, I hope its off to a good start for you :)

Today I went back to work after a three and bit week holiday, and it although it was bit of a shock getting up at 6am this morning, it was good to get back and catch up with my work friends.

Presently my dear friend Petra is visiting from Sweden so we've been showing Petra the sights of Hawkes Bay, and getting out and about so she can enjoy the New Zealand sunshine, there's certainly been a lot of that lately - we've had some of the hottest summer temperatures in many years!

Last week we stopped by one of the local Chocolate Shops, Petra and I are both big chocolate lovers, lol.

This chiller of yummy looking desserts greeted us at one of the cafes we visited, I couldn't decide what to have!!

This is the view looking back towards Napier from Clifton Beach.

Even though we've hardly been home over the past fortnight, I've been trying to fit in a bit of stitching in the evenings to wind down after being out and about all day. I'm going to try and finish a few of my wips over the next few weeks before starting anything new so out came the Lizzie Kate Christmas flip its and I stitched a couple more. I think I'm just over half way now.

and yay, I have my first finish for 2009.

Christmas is Forever
2008 Special Edition Kit by Lizzie Kate
Stitched on cashel linen with Crescent Colours
Tonight we're going to my parents for dinner, its my Dad's birthday tomorrow so we're celebrating it a bit early.
Bye for now,
Katrina

Your progress and finish pictures look wonderful. Also, that ocean looks so amazing. It's in the 20's here and it's supposed to snow. I'd love somewhere warm.

Your finish is great. The picture of the ocean made me very jealous as it's cold and grey here today lol.

Christmas is forever turned out very cute, and your Christmas flips are looking great as well. Her doubleflip designs are such fun. I love the new Halloween one and have the first couple in my stash already. Glad you had a good time with your friend visiting, it looks like you had a lovely time being out and about. The chocolate shop would have been fun, and the dessert case looked so yummy I think I need a snack now.

Hi Katrina of Kiwi Stitching
I have been to the chocolate shop there in Hawkes bay had a marvellous day that day.
Did live there in Napier N.Z., but now reside in Qld.
What a marvellous thing a blog is. I found you thru another blog Groggy Froggy.
