A Gorgeous Day

As the title of my post suggests its been a gorgeous autumn day here today. This time of the year is my favourite - the days may start off a little bit chilly but we are left with a stunning day, not a cloud in the sky and the sun still has a bit of warmth in it. Our Daylight Savings hours changed over last Sunday so its started getting darker earlier in the evenings but I don't mind as I always think that the evenings seem longer, more time for stitching :)

I've had two finishes since my last post :) This is Triology's Secret Flower Bed, finished into a pinkeep. I thoroughly enjoyed stitching this piece, all those pinks are so pretty, 16 different thread colours in this one.

Next up is the baby sampler for my cousin in Melbourne, Australia. Keanu turned 1 year old last month. This will be travelling with Donna next month when she goes there on holiday. Not such a good photo - I usually take a photo before the glass goes in but forgot too this time.

Sisters and Best Friends Little Angel Birth Sampler, stitched on 32 ct Ice Blue belfast linen.

As of today, I've only got three weeks of work left before I go on leave and 6 in total before our baby is due! Can someone tell me where the past few weeks have gone? Too quickly, lol. This weekend Glenn and I are getting stuck into getting the baby's room all set up and everything we've bought put into the drawers etc, well, hopefully, lol. I'll take some pics when its done. At my check up on Tuesday, my blood pressure was slightly down but still enough to be of concern so its back for another visit next week. I think the shorter work days are really helping though, feeling much better for them and not so knackered by the time Friday rolls around.

as always, thanks for stopping by :) Enjoy the weekend :)

Your finishes are lovely Katrina.

I would say that you are very lucky to find that the time is going so fast for you. I remember the last weeks of my pregnancies just dragging along. LOL!

Good luck!

Great finishes. Flower Bed is beautiful, I'll bet all the pinks were fun to work with, so pretty. The baby sampler turned out adorable too.

Glad that cutting back on work seems to be helping. I'll keep my fingers crossed your blood pressure is even further down on your next check up. Good luck with getting the baby's room all set up. BTW, love the look of your new template.

What a lovely finish for SFB. I have this one in my stash and seeing yours makes me want to start it.

The baby sampler is adorable - what a lovely gift.

Glad to hear things are a bit better now that you are working shorter hours. Enjoy all the wonderful baby preparations.

Take care.

Congratulations on your finishes. I especially like the Trilogy piece. And good for you in assembling them as they were finished! I rarely manage to do that. Mine sit in a drawer for a very long time before being put together.

I love autumn weather too -- cold nights and glorious days.

Your cross-stitches are beautiful.

Do take care of yourself and the babe, Katrina! Sounds like you really need to slow down and keep the stress levels low; perhaps a little more stitching is in order. :D
