Midweek update

Spring has well and truly arrived here, the past few days have been just gorgeous, not a cloud in the sky all day, although its still been a tad chilly first thing in the morning. I noticed in our garden at work yesterday, our freesias have started flowering - freesias have to be one of my favourites of the spring flowers.

Thank you everyone, for the lovely comments on my finishes last week - I truly appreciate them all :) I have to say that my time for visiting all your blogs has become a bit limited lately - I like to find time to stop by but may not have time to leave a comment every time.

ok, so time for an update. This is where I'm at with Shepherds Bush Jillian stocking, I stitch on this on Sundays, a SAL with Kath.

next up is a small Christmasy finish from over the recent weekend:

Ho Ho Ho by Shepherds Bush, stitched on 10ct Tula

Not sure how I will finish this one, maybe find a small frame for it perhaps.

I've now completed another row of Sampler Game Board, sorry this isn't such a good pic.

Can you see the cute sheepie?

This week I've been stitching Christmas ornaments - I've become a little behind in my ornie stitching over the past few months. As regular readers of my blog will know, each year I like to stitch ornaments for some of my family members and several friends so I like to try and stitch at least two ornaments per month. I'm planning to stitch about half a dozen over the next few weeks and then have a finishing session one Saturday or Sunday.

I got some wonderful new stash in the mail on Monday from Needlecraft Corner, I could not resist the new Just Nans - Christmas Biscornu and Pearl Angel, and I also gave into temptation and bought Lady Scarlet's Secret Journey. For Just Nan fan's have you seen this? Too irresistable for me, lol.

Katrina,

I'm so sorry about the last comment. I swear my fingers go faster than my brain sometimes! I was getting your blog mixed up with Karoline's (http://karolinescorner.blogspot.com/). I'm sure you're not expecting - right?? LOL! Sorry again! I love all your finishes and wips! They're all so pretty! :)

Beautiful stitching, as always. I love that Gameboard!

Hi Katrina...I hope you have three skeins of the Concord for that stocking as all the reports I've read say 2 is not enough! :) Great work as usual.

Your wips are looking lovely Katrina especially the Gameboard

I've always loved Jillian's stocking - one day, I'm going to stitch it for myself.

Good luck with catching up with your ornaments - I hadn't stitched any at all this year, and finally decided that I should do some. I'm hoping to stitch 2 a month, also. Maybe you'll keep me motivated!

Both your gameboard and your stocking are looking beautiful! I really must find the time to stitch that gameboard, I've had the chart forever!! I love the new JN pieces, especially the Pearl Angel, so is so pretty in that frame!

Lovely progress on the gameboard and the stocking, both are looking very cute. I really need to adopt your plan of spreading out my ornament stitching throughout the year. There's no way I'll get everything done I want to in the next couple of months.

Christmas Workshop is great! I immediately wrote to The Silver Needle and had them reserve one for me. I'll pick it up at CATS in Hershey at the end of the month. I'll be gorging on Just Nan designs, I think!

It seems we've enjoying the exact same kind of weather Katrina :) though on opposite sides of the seasons.

Your WIPs are lovely - Jillian's stocking is my favourite in the SB collection.

It's wonderful to see all your lovely stitching, Katrina! I'm not able to comment as much as I'd like either lately, as it's quite a job just to try to keep up with the reading!
