Yay Its Friday

I love Friday afternoons as I usually get to finish work at 12pm. Today I met up with a friend for lunch and then did a few jobs in town before coming home. Its been such a lovely afternoon I decided to head out for an hour's walk. I feel so much better now for getting some fresh air and a bit of exercise.

It was my lovely Mum's birthday last Saturday so I made Pink Carnations into a large pin keep for her, which she'll be able to display on her dresser. I used some pretty light green fabric for the back. She was thrilled with it.

As I mentionned on Wednesday, this week I've been focusing on Karen V's Quaker RR. Doesn't it look wonderful - such a great fabric and thread colour combination. I'll be posting this off now to Nicki in the UK so it gets there by the end of the month.

And I couldn't resist taking a pic of all the lovely daffodils in the clients' garden at my work this morning.

My own spring flowers are a little way from flowering but in the garden at work, lots of daffodils are out and bluebells, and it won't be long before the freesias start popping up - freesias are my favourite spring flower.

This weekend looks like its going to be another busy one. Saturday I'm helping out with a fundraiser for my work, a craft market/car boot sale, and then we have Zoe coming to stay for the night. I'm hoping I might find some time on Sunday for some more bag sewing - I've had three lots of fabric ready to go for a few weeks now. Stitchingwise, I'm going to put all my wips aside and have a new start, Royal Blossoms by Just Nan. You should see the charm for it,its so sweet, a golden bee with a crown :)

Wishing you a happy, and safe weekend. Until next time........

What a lovely finish for Pink Carnations. Happy Birthday to Mom. Your Quaker RR looks lovely. It seems strange to see daffodils this time of year. You are just starting spring and we are starting into fall.
