Weekend Stitching

It was another busy weekend for us but lucky for me I had my regular Sunday stitching group so happily stitched away for a few hours while listening to a friend talk about her recent trip to South Africa, and another member of our group plans to travel very soon to Korea and the UK.

I recently made a start on Sweet Sweet Babe which is going to be a gift for our friends' Rosie and Brendon's 7 month old girl, Neve. Coincidently, Rosie asked me just on the weekend if I could stitch a sampler for Neve so I had to tell her it was all in hand as I had wanted it to be a surprise, lol. She doesn't know which design I've picked :)

And here is my weekly progress on an Open Heart - from my SAL with Karen V, another section completed and another section underway. I so enjoy stitching on this one.

Thanks for all the nice comments about my Lizzie Kate finish, Zoe and Poppy. Zoe thought she was pretty cool when she saw herself on my blog. I'm hoping to get the Lizzie Kate piece framed, or I might make it into a wall hanging on some sort.

This week my DH has taken a week off from work, a spur of the moment decision, guess thats the good thing about being the boss, lol. He's planning to finish off some jobs around our house. Yesterday when I arrived home from work, our garage ceiling had been finished but there was an awful mess in the garage everywhere. I'm hoping by the time I get home this afternoon its all cleared away. Glenn is taking me out for dinner tonight, and I can pick where we go, umm decisions, decisions, not that there are many restaurants open around our small town on a Tuesday night :)
