Thank You :)

Thank you so much for all the fantastic comments about my Stitching Leporello, it was very overwhelming to read them, I appreciate them all very much. To my new readers and commenters, a big hello to you and thank you for stopping by.

A little bit of further information about Leporello. The design is by Martina Weber of Chatelaine Designs and was an online class that I participated in over the past twelve months. The class has now ended and its unfortunately no longer available.

This week seems to be flying by, even though its been a full week at work after two short weeks. I've had one late night home from work due to a meeting and tonight I'm going out for dinner to celebrate a friend's 70th birthday. Roll on the weekend :)

I've been trying to fit in a little bit of finishing and other sewing projects when I can, my stitching group's annual exhibition is now just over a month away so I don't want to rush at the last minute to finish things off, like I tend to do each year! So the other day, from the depths of my finishing bag, I pulled out a small piece that I had stitched about three years ago to make up.

Dragonfly Scissor Case by Just Nan
stitched on 32ct natural belfast linen

My choice for this month's needleroll SAL, M Designs Rose Mosiac needleroll, had quite a bit more stitching to it than I realised so I'll be putting this aside to work on next month too.

I've picked up Titania to work on this week and with going out tonight, I'll have no time for Stitching Game board this week. I have Anne's Quaker RR piece to stitch on over the coming weekend so I can get it finished and posted well before end of the month deadline off.

I can't believe I've never come across the dragonfly scissorcase before! It's fabulous! REally pretty.

I'm just loving that needleroll though. It's just gorgeous! Your stitching is so neat. I can't wait to see how it turns out.

Just out of curiosity, are needle rolls just stuffed with filling and used as a decoration, or do they unroll to be used like a needlecase? I always forget to ask when I see them but enquiring minds need to know, lol.

I haven't tried one yet, but that M Designs is temping........

The scissor case is lovely, and the Rose Mosiac needleroll will be gorgeous when done. It does look like there if a lot of detail though, so I imagine it will take a bit longer. Have a wonderful time at your friends birthday dinner.

A lovely JN finish. I have that pattern, but sadly not the Drogonfly to put on it. I need to find it yet.

I think we share a stitching spirit. LOL! We have the same taste for almost everything. I have done that scissor purse by Just Nan and I adore it. I use it for my hardanger scissors. And I am currently stitching that same needleroll :o)
