Another Weekend away

Thanks for the all the comments about my framed pieces - I'm really looking forward to them coming home, I just don't know yet where I'm going to hang them. Might have to do some serious rearranging I think!

Glenn and I spent the weekend in Wellington, watching a Super 14 rugby game, the Hurricanes v the Bulls, with several friends. We headed down quite early Saturday morning and then arrived home late yesterday. Glenn has season passes to watch the Hurricanes whenever they have a home game but this was the first one I'd been to so far this season. We won too, 17-9!! After the game we went to several bars - central Wellington certainly is a happening place on a Saturday night.

It was good to get home and after unpacking and doing some washing I sat to stitch for a few hours on the next Lizzie Kate Christmas Blessing for the monthly SAL with Kath, Lisa and Pat. I have some photos to share of my March Christmas ornaments, and a new start, Drawn Thread's Sampler Gameboard but haven't got around to downloading them onto the computer yet. Perhaps tomorrow.

Really looking forward to our Easter break coming up - a four day weekend and we don't have much planned except for my cousin Donna coming to stay with us for a few days and Glenn is going to give his brother a hand with a new deck he's building. I do have big plans for lots of stitching and sewing :)

Glad you had a fun time at the game. I'm looking forward to our upcoming Easter weekend as well. Although I'll only have 3 days off, that's still plenty of time for some extra stitching. :)

Thanks for sharing all your purchases, I LOVE seeing what everyone's been splurging on, lol. Your framed pieces are just fantastic! It's always exciting to see how they turn out, isn't it?

A weekend away is always a nice break. You will love Sampler Gameboard, its such a fun piece to work on, with lots of quickie finishes for each house/motif.
